Support
If you are worried about your baby rather than about the app, please contact your verloskundige, consultatiebureau or huisarts. Hodierna is a logbook. It records what you write down and it never interprets it — it cannot tell you whether something is normal, and it will not try.
Getting in touch
Email hallo@hodierna.app. It helps to say which phone you are on and roughly when the problem happened; if the app showed you an error, the wording of it is usually enough to find the exact request in our logs.
You can also reach this page from inside the app, under More → About, which shows the app version and build number worth quoting.
The alarm did not wake me
Open More → Night Watch and use Check it works. It shows whether an alarm is actually scheduled, and the test button rings the real alarm ten seconds later — lock your phone first, because an alarm that arrives while you are looking at the screen proves nothing about whether it would wake you.
If the test is silent, the problem is the phone rather than the app: check the silent switch, Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode, and that notifications are allowed for Hodierna in your system settings.
Photos are not loading
Photographs are kept in Europe rather than on your phone, so the first time you look at one it has to be fetched. Once seen, it is kept on the device and works offline afterwards. If a photo stays blank, the message underneath it says whether the phone could not reach us or whether something else went wrong — that wording is the useful thing to send us.
I am not getting reminders
Reminders for daily routines and appointments are scheduled on the phone itself, so they need notification permission. The app asks once, on each phone you sign in on; if you said no, you can change it under More → Settings, which shows every permission the app uses and what each is for.
Where is my data, and can I get it out
In the European Union. The database and the file storage were both created in the EU and cannot be moved. Settings → Your data → Export everything gives you a single archive with every entry, photo and document in formats that open without our app — because a logbook you cannot take with you is not really yours.
Deleting works the same way, and there is a page for it if you no longer have the app installed: Delete your account.
The logbook works without a signal
Everything you write is saved on the phone first and sent when there is a connection, so a feed logged in a lift or a hospital basement is never lost. If two people write at once, both entries are kept. Nothing you need at three in the morning is behind a network or a subscription.
Subscriptions
The logbook — feeds, nappies, sleep, growth, photos and sharing — is free, permanently. Premium adds the document vault and asking questions of your own paperwork. Subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google, so cancelling is done in your App Store or Play Store account rather than here; More → Plan links straight to the right screen.
Reporting something that looks wrong
Please do. This app is used by its author's family before anybody else's, and the bugs that matter most are the quiet ones — a notification that never arrived, a photograph that stayed grey, a number that looks off. Tell us what you expected to see and what you saw instead, and we will tell you what we find.
